We will create a 3D model using clay and 3D scanning technology. Children will also be given the opportunity to create basic models on the computer if they are ready. However, for younger students, we have learned that the most enjoyable workshops start with 3D modeling using clay, after which we will 3D scan the model and then adjust it on the computer, and finally 3D print it. In the advanced workshops, we will be working on the computer to create 3D models.

Next, we’ll move on to the exciting stage of printing the model. Since 3D printing can be time-consuming, we’ll initiate the printing process overnight. Each child will have the opportunity to work with their own dedicated 3D printer or collaborate in pairs, enabling simultaneous printing while we conduct demonstrations on the remaining printers. This way, we can showcase the printing process in action while actively producing tangible prints.

To culminate the class, each child will have the chance to showcase their project, and we’ll all revel in their remarkable creations. Every participant will proudly take home their finished pieces, accompanied by a special touch—a small 3D-printed trophy, commemorating their successful completion of the course. This token of accomplishment will serve as a lasting reminder of their newfound skills and creativity.
